5月19日、「PlayStation」公式Xアカウントは、海外の一部地域における「PlayStation Plus」の料金値上げを発表した。
今回の料金値上げは、現在の経済的な市場理由を考慮したものとのこと。5月20日から新たにPlayStation Plusを契約する場合に適用。既に契約済みの場合は、価格に変更はないようだ。
Starting May 20, PlayStation Plus prices for new customers will increase in select regions. Due to ongoing market conditions, prices will start at $10.99 USD / €9.99 EUR / £7.99 GBP for 1-month subscriptions and $27.99 USD / €27.99 EUR / £21.99 GBP for 3-month subscriptions.…

価格の変更については以下の通り。
▼1か月分の「エッセンシャル」の場合
現在 ： 9.99米ドル → 変更後：10.99米ドル
現在 ：8.99ユーロ → 変更後 ： 9.99ユーロ
現在 ：6.99ポンド → 変更後：7.99ポンド▼3か月分の「エッセンシャル」の場合
現在 ： 24.99米ドル → 変更後：27.99米ドル
現在 ： 24.99ユーロ → 変更後：27.99ユーロ
現在 ： 19.99ポンド → 変更後：21.99ポンド
「エクストラ」および「プレミアム」の価格については明言されておらず、現時点で値上げが行われるかは不明。12か月プランについても同様に不明となっている。
なお、記事執筆時点では日本国内における値上げは発表されていない。
